Hello !
Take a minute and just soak up this song. Read the lyrics – Pray about them – Deeply think through them – Close your eyes…Do whatever your heart desires!
Lord we lie before Thy feet
Look on all our deep distress
Thy rich mercy may we meet
Clothe us with Thy righteousness
Stretch forth Thy Almighty hand
Hold us up and we shall stand
Lord increase, increase our faith
Make us faithful in this land
May we know nothing
May we know nothing
May we know nothing beside Jesus
May we know nothing beside the Lord
May we know nothing beside Jesus
Crucified
Make Thy mighty wonders known
Let us see Thy sufferings plain
Let us hear Thee sigh and groan
Til we sigh and groan again
Let us trust Thee evermore
Every moment on Thee call
For new life, new will, new power
Let us trust Thee Lord for all.
One night during worship this past week, my squad was worshiping to this song. I starting really sorting through the lyrics and thinking about what they truly meant to me in my life today. To be honest, I got emotional. So many times during the day I get caught up in my worldly desires. I get lost in my circumstances, problems, feelings, and emotions. God has been speaking to me the word – – > PERSERVERANCE, PERSERVERANCE, and more PERSERVERANCE. He has just been telling me that it is so important to become one with the crucifixion. Becoming one with His suffering on the cross brings FREEDOM- Embracing the suffering in my day to day to life. Not in thought but actually living out where God calls me and who exactly He calls me to be even though it is extremely hard.
Romans 5:3-5
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
CLING TO MY WORD AND I WILL CALL YOU BLESSED.
GOD
James 1: 22 – 25
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But whoever looks intently into the perfect law that gives freedom, and continues in it, not forgetting what they have heard, but doing it, they will be blessed in what they do.
Thank you for your prayers!!
Best,
Andrea
P.S. – " Here is a little something I wanted to share for the week – A perspective worth looking through…
“ Today you were defeated,
discouraged, dejected, burned
again.
Someone brought it up, dressed
you down, told you off, staged a
coup.
Any other day you could’ve
shrugged it off: but not today.
A tone, a word, a face dragged
you into a pit, a chokehold, a
fog.
It stings. But hey: you are not
what has happened to you.
You’re not someone else’s fake
idea of who they think you
should be.
You’re more than a backroom
whisper where rumors lose
reality
You are more than seedy
surface opinions born in a broth
of fantasy.
You are beloved by a cosmic
king of constancy
who has narrated a different
history over today, and
everyday, and for eternity.
He underlines, highlights,
italicizes you apart from who
you think you are: and He is
writing you with a furious final
love.
Don’t let a bad mood steal you;
don’t let a bad day say more
about you than today.
Because it’s just today.
Let love say good morning.

Andrea, if I could ever be half the woman you are I’d be happy.
Love that!
I’m really proud of you, and it delights me to see Jesus working so strongly in your heart:)
Always encouraging. Thank you for being an example of genuine faith.
